The Pitcher Farmstead was built in 1750. In 1790 during the Federal period, it underwent a significant renovation which extended the length of the house making room for a center hallway and a wing built off the back for a kitchen. Major structural repairs were done to the timber framing and bluestone foundation at the start of the project.
