The Dewitt house in Marbletown, NY was built in 1780. A timber addition was added in 1853. The house had significant structural issues on its south side and many of the floor beams needed to be replaced. The original staircase and front door were also missing. Beams from an 18th century barn were used to replace damaged ones and a salvaged 18th century staircase and front door were installed in place of the missing ones.
